It appears Ariana Grande's Wicked songs have allowed her to pull ahead of Taylor Swift when it comes to a specific Spotify record.

According to Guinness World Records, Ari took the title of the female artist with the most monthly listeners on Spotify from Taylor in late December, when she reached a high of more than 123.7 million. As of Jan. 16, that number had dropped — she currently has just under 110 million — but she's still ahead of Taylor, who has 93.4 million.

According to Guinness World Records, while Ari and Taylor had very popular albums last year, Ariana got a boost in December because of her popular Christmas song "Santa Tell Me" and the songs from the Wicked soundtrack, including "Popular" and "What Is This Feeling?"

But if Taylor releases something new, she could easily regain the title, since she's broken it multiple times, most recently in May 2024, Guinness World Records says.
