Gas prices continue to increase in Georgia

Metro and Georgia drivers will pay a bit more at the pump as the state gas tax is restored.

ATLANTA — Gas prices across Georgia have continued to increase, AAA says.

According to AAA, the average price of unleaded is $2.94 per gallon. That is one cent more than a week ago.

The average gas price in Georgia is currently 20 cents below than the national average.

Compared by counties in Georgia, the average gas price in Fulton County is $3.08, while the average in Catoosa County is $2.75.

The average price of mid-grade, diesel and premium in Georgia are $3.36, $3.63 and $3.76 respectively.
