A space heater sold exclusively on Amazon has been recalled because it may pose shock and fire hazards.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission said the power cord on the VH2 Whole Room Heater can partially detach, leading to damage to the cord.

About 7,780 heaters were sold on Amazon from August 2024 through October 2024 for about $90.

The recall affects only the Vornado-made heaters with a “JULY24″ or “AUG24″ date code and “TYPE VH2″ which can be found on the silver rating label on the underside of the heater, the CPSC said.

If you have the heaters, you should stop using them and contact Vornado to confirm that they are part of the recall and then get instructions on how to get a free replacement.

Call Vornado at 844-205-7978 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT Monday through Friday, or reach out by email or the company’s website.
